The line up's loaded tonight, we got the Emmy awards, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Star Wars: Attack of the Clones. I'm probably gonna watch the Emmy's because Conan O'Brien is hosting, hilarious dude. Plus Star Wars is on Fox, which doesn't come in very clear on my TV, don't have cable. I could always play some Xbox, as I want to finish KOTOR already. Many decisions (both in KOTOR, and regarding this evening), I'm not sure what to do.
I had an interview today at a CompUSA, which is a computer store here in the States. It went pretty well, and I think I will get the job. I'm looking forward to being around electronics a bit more, and working on my people skills.
I bought a basketball today, as my other ones all went flat long ago, and my recent one got stolen (about time as I had been leaving it at the gym after work). It's a nice Wilson indoor/outdoor ball that feels really good, I gave it test run when I got back from the interview.
My remake of Kabuki Quantum Fighter ended about last week, and I'm gonna show the two of you reading this blog what I have done (feel privelaged!): Feel free to hook up a gamepad for the little gameplay that is there. The controls are pretty basic: X and Z are action keys, ARROW keys to move, SPACE to change weapon. F2 pauses the game, ENTER goes to the next level, and CTRL goes to the level complete screen.
Quantum Fighter
I don't have much other news. I guess now I can start focusing on finishing my puzzle game Home Base. I'm looking forward to that.

I just wanted to mention two good games from the Game Maker Community that I am really looking forward to playing, each with a very recent new demo.
The first is an action rpg by the name of Hidden Swords. I spent a good amount of time just leveling up. I only stopped because I eventually became too strong for the enemies in the first two areas. You can view the topic here: Hidden Swords
The second game is by a long-time buddy, Ed_cachun. If you end up mastering the gameplay in Cochone's Pursuit, then you will see just how much it has to offer. An excellent game, though a bit on the difficult side. You can view the topic here: Cochone's Pursuit
My remake of Kabuki Quantum Fighter is coming along steadily. I'm focusing a lot on the menu and user interface, which the original game lacked completely. I finished the save system yesterday, allowing for three save states. Here's a pic:
I've also added in joypad support. That might have been a mistake, because it took me a few days just figure out how to incorporate the joypad into my current control setup. Right now you can use the joypad and keyboard simultaneously, no need to specifiy the control scheme. I'm planning to add custom controls, but that might have to wait until after the comp is over. We'll see.

Yahooo... Finally got a joypad. I'm gonna set up my Retro Remakes game to support it. It should be a nice plus to it. I'm on track to finish my entry by the end of the month (the deadline is Aug. 31). Ds is remaking the soundtrack, so if he finishes that in time as well, we should have a decent chance at placing in the comptetition.

A friend of mine just sent me a picture of our spaghetti bridge. This was an assignment in physics class. So, this was the same team of three that brought you the bungee throwing thing that I showed pictures of in a previous blog entry.
The grading was based on how much the bridge could hold compared to its own mass. The materials used: spaghetti and glue.
