Yeah, I actually don't like Jumper very much, but I wouldn't say it's a bad game. The two things are not equivalent. The game is well-programmed and has the best level design you'll find anywhere. In fact, its goodness is the reason I don't like it. :P It's not really pleasant to be extremely frustrated with a game, yet at the same time realize that the whole thing is perfectly engineered and you have no one to blame but yourself.

I don't like the variable height. :( Will make double jumping at max height way more frustrating. Not harder, but more frustrating.

have you played it yet?

i don't like swimming on saturn.  my hair will get frizzy when i get out and dry off...

Judging by the small screenshots you gave us, it looks great, even better than previous Jumper games (!)



I was afraid that this was discontinued.. But Jumper lives again! Hurrray!

couldn't that mean that perhaps your implementation was poor (no offense intended at all - just proposing a realistic perspective on the matter)?

afterall, every mario game in history has included player-scaled jump mechanics.  and those games include what are arguably the finest platform character package designs and executions in history.

@JW: I'm with Cosmind. There are games where it works perfectly well. But I have to say that I agree with JW about it being annoying a lot of times when you need precision. On the other hand, I'm sure that YMM knows what he's doing and that we don't need to give this kind of opinions before he's even given us something to play.

1) The new Ogmo sucks. Badly. It's the typical "made in 1 minute in Paint" thing, only, unlike Untitled, it lacks style, it's just a pile of solid-red and black squares.

2) Variable-jumping: Either the levels will be slow paced like Untitled. Or it will be annoying and even more frustrating. I don't think either is good.

i really hate the name jumper 3.
it's going to make playing the game so much more frustrating than it already is.

oh, and also, the font you chose in your initial post is lame.  i'll be hard pressed to pass level 1 of this new game unless you edit the post with a sans-sarif font.
