I recently suffered hard-drive damage on my laptop, and the files are in the process of being recovered. Whilst waiting for the source code for my winter competition game to return to me, I decided I'd just make another entry. That way, if I don't get my files back, I'll still have an entry. And if I do, then maybe I will have two entries. Either way, here's what you get.
Two night's work, and the game is now 1/3 finished. I should be done by the end of the new week.

Everything seems to be working fine now, man. But yeah, the blog software seems to have choked a bit lately.

I actually like the looks of this one better than the other one you started (not that it didn't look cool). The style (and the pogo stick :P ) remind me a little of Commander Keen, which is a favorite of mine. I like the color scheme, too.

Haha, that is now the 3rd reference I've had to Commander Keen whilst showing somebody this game. Keen wasn't in my head at all in the development process, if you were wondering though, I just happen to fancy pogo-sticks (Pogopher, anyone? :P).
Oh, and I had sort of a christmassy, but not so darn saturated, idea in my head when coloring it... though if you know me, you'll know that any color schemes that look good are pure luck :P as I know nothing consciously about really effective coloring.
