Well, actually not. I'm really into Trance and DnB, but Psychadelic Trance is too... difficult to enjoy. It's like those "bullet rain" flying-shooter games, where it takes great skill and effort to enjoy the game. Except that I enjoy those hardcore shooters, but not Psytrance.
Ack, what the hell am I talking about? Ten hours of psytrance is actually a metaphor for today's frantic, almost chaotic, game-development workshop session (no offense to psytrance lovers). Our little team broke the marathon record again. This time, we literally spent the entire day developing the game. That is, of course, unless you consider that "10 hours" does not qualify for "entire day".
It's definitely overboard this time 'round though. I have this personal, physical problem with using LCD flatscreen monitors. For some reason, if I use one for over 2 hours, my vision starts to blur. Eventually, I'll suffer from temporary double-vision and a serious headache at the top-back of my head (that's where the vision component of the brain is, if I remember correctly). Absolutely no problem with CRT monitors though. I can use them for however long I want, with no consequence. As it turned out, at the end of the first 6 hours of working on my laptop at our team's "makeshift workstation", I think I blew a fuse. For about 30 minutes, I was high on my own brain chemicals, until I remember that I brought some Chinese medicine along just in case this happens.
Maybe I should use Wit's (sound guy) laptop. The Crystal Blite (or whatever it is called) screen seems to be much easier on the eyes.
Anyway, my eye-strain aside, we've accomplished quite a bit of work today. Again, it's not as much as we've hoped, but it's still a lot, regardless. It's very heated at times though, with Jack (the programmer) cursing at a nasty collision bug every 5 seconds for about 15 minutes at one point.
The worst thing about today has absolutely nothing to do with game development. It's the mosquitoes. Even with repellent, they still swarm around us. I think I butchered about half-a-dozen of those vile blood-suckers.
Yawn... it's late and as usual, I'm half-dead at this point. It was 12am to 6pm, 7pm to 11pm today. Now, I better get to bed before I start fantasizing about sleeping in a 5-star hotel. Damn those college debaters.

Well, my area used to be a forest. Unfortunately, the mosquitoes stayed after it's replaced by buildings. Hey, it's a tropical country.

Eh. okay.
Oh Psytrance used to be a lot better but it's become a little too much like "standard" trance nowadays. I guess though, the best next branch would be the Deeper and more Progressive (House) sorts of Psychedelia.
I'm getting quite excited actually, seeing how hard you guys are working, and being so determined with the game development. You guys keep it up!
Mosquies. Ya, I know how it feels like. I have this electric-fly-frying thing in my room which emits a light meant to attract these insects and electrocutes them when they get in. Or do those mosquito-coil things work?

Used one of those once, but unless you construct a perimeter of those around you, I don't think it's very effective. Incense or lotion repellents work way better.

You just need to get really good with a harpoon gun...

I think chopsticks are more effective at avoiding "collateral damage". XD
This is starting to sound like a game idea. Kinda like "tower defense", but instead of towers, you've got incense, repellents or those "glowing-coils". For your weapons (in the first-person perspective), you've got chopsticks, harpoon guns and... whatever else.
