Secret Files BBaller // 01:49 // 4 replies
Tunguska!

I just picked up this point and click game, and so far it's been a pretty good time. I don't usually play this genre, but that's why I decided to support the developers and pick it up for the $20 price. What's most awesome about the game are the detailed backgrounds, which have subtle animatioins on things that you would excpect to be moving, making each scene seem alive. The item interaction system works well also, but that should be expected in this type of game. I've only put in about 3 hours thus far, but I plan to play again later tonight, because the story is interesting so far.

you have a link that we could follow to check it out?
googling it is not easy, it seems.  it hits with a zillion other things that are completely not game related...

This is the main site:

http://www.secretfiles-game.com/en/index_en.html

It's actually the background of one of the early scenes in the game.

I played a bit more last night, and ended up staying up pretty late.  Aside from a very long cutscene (it was about 10 minutes long), I really enjoyed playing.  It hasn't been too difficult, though.  There are only a few times that I randomly check to see what items can be combined with other items.  Most of the time, I pretty much know how to use which items where, after thinking it over.

Judging from the way you navigate the website I would probably enjoy this game, I've played a few point & click games, one of my favorites being Full Throttle if anyone remembers that.

This game is pretty damn sweet!!  Though the interface could use some tweaks in my opinion, the overall art style is great (it's very realistic, and the variety of scenery is a nice addition).

I've made a list of adventure games I'm going to get in the near future:

Barrow Hill
Still Life
Syberia

I'm going to see about starting a collab in this genre in the near future.  I assume many of the eo members are into storytelling, and I wouldn't mind making graphics to go along with an original story.
