Man I like the SHMUP dev rapid prototype sessions. They help you come up with some really weird ideas...
Someday I might actually finish one after the session is over.

I only intended to make a Demo of Vector Scape: Pulse for the SHMUP-Dev competition , then get back to working on Perceptia, but I like the game mechanic of it too much to leave it on the back burner. So I'll finish it, then get back to Perceptia. Er, I really mean it this time. In the meantime, here are some screen shots from the game...

I picked up Trials 2 Second Edition (http://www.redlynxtrials.com/) from Steam a couple weeks back and have been playing it ever since but my love affair with it ended abruptly today midway through the medium levels. I don't care how powerful a dirt bike is, if I'm leaning over the handle bars with fully half my body weight past the center point of the bike I am not going to pop a God-damned wheelie on any slope. How ridiculously easy it was to wheelie in this game pretty much killed it for me.
I'm going back to playing Road Rash 64. I may not be able to ride a bike anymore in real life but I can still play well designed games about it on the PC.

I'm taking of a couple of weeks to work on the SHMUP-Dev Rapid Prototype session. The theme this time around is dear to my heart; blowing things up. More to the point; finding new and interesting ways to use the 'bomb' in shooters.
In a few short days I already got a good game going, let's see if I can get it done in time. The basics of the game play is to use a pulse weapon to charge up enemies with energy, then set them off as the bombs. Hopefully I can make it fun enough...

Haven't done much on Paper Flight since I spent the last month or so moving, but I've started up again. Here's a screen shot of the trophy room, with a bunch of the trophies on the wall. They aren't conventional trophies; I just picked a bunch of items that wold never be used as trophies. At first I drew them, but it looked like crap, so I changed it to photos. There are fifty in total, but can be earned in bronze, silver or gold...Yes, you can win a bronze, silver or gold 'EO'.
