Re: Suffocating Heat
Quimp // 23:57Would love to sit out in a park and drink a few cans of cold beer with some friends.
I pay the beer, you pay the plane tickets! Fair deal? Fingers crossed.
It was 32?C on the thermometer when I last checked. I just came back from skateboarding and it was hell, literally. From noon to 4PM. Actually, I think driving for 30 minutes afterwards was even worse. After hell, the paradise; it felt awesome in our swimming pool (76?F was just perfect). If you think that's cold, I swam in a lake yesterday which was at slightly over 50?F... I still haven't found my balls! That's Qu?bec, Canada.

CosMind // 02:17Global warming is warming the Earth, but not quick enough for anyone to notice. It's a cyclical and natural event that takes thousands of years to complete (it's happening on Mars too...funny that, eh?). We aren't going to feel the effects in a just a few short years. Sorry, but I feel strongly about global warming, mainly because the eco-freaks are going to force my country in bankruptcy with their end-of-the-world prophesies.
My same opinion. Go Ablach.

Joewoof // 15:55Well instead of nice and warm we have cold and wet..during summer.
Do you know how much I cherish "cold and wet"? We get "hot and wet" here.

No, no! It has to be a balance. Too cold or too hot is extremely uncomfortable. I like it between 27 - 29 degrees C.
Re: Suffocating Heat
Joewoof // 14:21See? Somebody else likes it 29C.
Re: Suffocating Heat
HiVE // 17:00I guess you can cook things by leaving pieces of metal out in the sun for long enough... beyond that, I can't imagine why. :P
Re: Suffocating Heat
pondwater // 03:26You can!
Well, not exactly "cooking" exactly, but what we had two ways of preparing combat rations:
1. Prepare a fire and heat it up
2. Leave it on top of the humvee and let the sun do the work.
The surface of the vehicle gets real hot, and it works well when you're needing to move frequently and haven't got the luxury of putting everything in a messtin to heat over a fire.
Re: Suffocating Heat
Joewoof // 05:20Or just leave it in the car, if you have one.

ChevyRay // 09:38I'm pretty comfortable with 22-26... but any higher than that and I'm getting too warm.
