So, i've been playing Guild Wars, and over the past few days a few of the towns got a Halloween make over, with various NPCs changed to undead and a new trader that sells halloween items to make various effects.

Anyway, in addition to this there is a Horseman thats been circling around Lions Arch (one of the towns) saying "The Mad King is coming!!". Since that a lot of rumours starts flying but today they were all settled.

Starting at 12pm the Mad King came and started to play games with everyone, it was good fun. The games were just things like you have to the correct emote (/jump, /laugh, etc) at the right time. If you got this correct you were giving a free item like the afor mentioned new trader gives.

The told various Guild Wars themed jokes to which you have to type /laugh. Or he asked for music and you had to do one of the various instrument emotes such as /drum.

I think the best part of it all was at the end when you played a variation on Simon Says.. called The Mad King says.

If you failed to get any of the things he asked correct, then he promptly killed you, but then you respawned in the same place a few seconds later with no ill effects to inventory or stats (that i noticed).

At the end of all of this you were giving a unique item called a Pumpkin Crown. This is basicly just a jack-o-lantern that you can where. Pretty cool i think :)

I think events like this really show that Guild Wars is all about involving the community.
