Well, I'm a bit stalled out on EForms2. That's not exactly it...I keep writing the basic system, then scrapping it an starting over. I'm looking for that perfect object/event model where everything fits together logically, understandably, and with good performance. I'm getting there. Better to do this now when the only thing in the project are windows and labels, than later on when everything will have to be rewritten.
EForms2 is going to be fast. On steps when the user isn't doing anything (no clicking, typing in a textbox, etc.), the only thing EForms2 will have to do is slap a bunch of pre-generated surfaces onto the screen. On a reasonably modern computer, I'm expecting EForms2 to consume less than 10% of the CPU time.
