Okay, I lied, I can't wait until tomorrow to update. I really appreciate when I get mail like this:
"Hey, I cant wait for Jumper 3, I love those games! My girlfriend is about to go into labor any day now and shes on bed rest, and your game helps her pass the time pretty well. I like making my own levels too, but they're not that good yet. Oh well I'll keep trying! Later."
Am I stupid, or is that incredibly touching? I'm no expert, but this makes me feel really good. It's this kind of thing that recharges my motivation to continue working on games. Thanks man, and best of luck to your girlfriend.
Of course, I cleverly avoided the main topic of that letter... Jumper Three. I have eluded many a pressing interview on the subject, and it is every intention of mine to continue doing so. Somehow, I intend to create a kind of amnesia in those asking - like my constant narrow escapes will somehow make them forget I ever mentioned that thing.
Don't take the previous paragraph the wrong way, though, because that thing is alive and well. It's just lying low until the metaphorical heat dies down.
If that wasn't as vague as possible, I have failed.
