Oh, absolutely. Logical inference alone isn't enough to understand or reason about the world in all its shapes and colours, but when I say "they must be doing something wrong", this extends equally to expecting logical arguments to capture this distinction when that's not really within the domain of definition of logic in any form, as far as I'm aware. It is exactly like trying to bake a cake with just flour, but that's a problem with the chef's ability to use the ingredient appropriately, nothing else.

If I then said "Pff. Flour just bites. People rely on flour for their cakes and they turn out awful."... you can probably see how that doesn't make logical sense. :P

That's all I was trying to say. People often think that logic alone can do this, and I said that it can't.

Nah, this is a shot at these people who you bewilder.

I think you read too much into what was only a throw away little comment in the first place.

These people I bewilder are of just fine and dandy intelligence.

I think that the little comment obviously brought up something that was already boiling inside me :P so I had every right to read into it, as it was something that I held high opinion of anyway. Plus, I've had a very bad week and I'm feeling rather relentless.
