Questions Joewoof // 19:21
I humbly ask for guidance. :)

How feasible is making a living through shareware? Being in a third-world country, we suffer less from living expenses, which allows us to keep prices low. Does that eliminate the biggest obstacle to eventual "relative" stability, or are there more key issues to worry about?

How does an employer go about firing an employee without making enemies in the process? Or is it inevitable? Any tips?

the feasibility completely relies on your creativity.  and not your artistic creativity.  rather, your creativity as a businessman.  baseline, by definition, shareware revenue models will gain you nothing.  today's age of piracy and people's unwillingness to part with their money when there's so much free stuff out there completely eliminates your chances of success - no matter how artistically creative your software is.

you have to really, really think outside the box.  you have to really rely on your skills of understanding human nature and psychology and how to tap into the deeper recesses to pique their interest and convince them to pay.

in short, you need to ultra innovate on the business side.

don't fire the employee at all.  instead, make him/her the President of Those Who Are Not In Your Company.  how could they brew enmity, then?
