I just finished calling in a favor from my bestest of friends. My first game (unmentioned except within the confines of the eo private community) will have a soundtrack written and performed by David Elliot of Chicago based psychedelic-punk/metal band Rise of Man. It may even feature performances by the entire band, and one James Bond theme-like title track.
Obviously I've asked Dave to tone the music down to be appropriate for a game that's all about concentration and control. But I'm planning a cool title/credits sequence so that aside from all the programming, I at least have one major portion of the project that caters to my film/animation training.
What's funny is that I'm giving an impression of a game that warrants a trip-rock anthem soundtrack, when in fact, it is comparatively mundane... let's just say, I'm hoping to gather attention for this game on style-points. (Please keep mention of what the game actually is to private conversations until I'm ready for a public reveal)

I'm in tears. Game music deserves this early focus. ;)
