Actually, it may not even effect me-- if I have transitioned completely to XNA by then, changes to GM will be moot.

What about all of the talk of getting games to run on DS, Wii, ect.. If alot of that comes true it seams you might want to stick with Gm becuase it will allow more system.

XNA is such a great platform for indie development. I have my xna account but I havent worked with it much, which is something I still need to do.  (Work can be such a pain heh)

Its great to here that gm will be the base platform for your work, maybe this can put more exposure for gm games to big companies in the future. Im surlly youll trully benefit everyone in someway, be it your games, or influence.

Best of luck,

Ds

I'm very happy to recieve the support!

I'm also really excited to begin my new company (another few days in Spain resting before I return from holiday.)

I'd like to be able to submit all my commercial games as EO approved games-- I don't know if the community here would appreciate that kind of exposure, but I don't know.  I mean, if we all begin producing popular and successful indie games - freeware and commercial alike, maybe we'd end up with a strong presence as a fledgling indie peer to GOD (Gathering of Developers).  But let me know because I'd be perfectly willing to devote an opening splash screen to promoting EO in each of my games.

Well, here's to success, and hoping to eventually meet everyone at the next GDC wearing little EOC badges ;)

You kidding? Definitely! If it's anything really, it really seems to be the other way round, how you're able to create an avenue for eo's publicity. ~

First, congrats! ;D I'm glad another artist is able to free himself from the confines of a publisher. It's also wonderful to hear that you're also going to use Game Maker for your early projects. Good luck!

I'm sure everyone here would love the exposure. At the very least, if all goes well, it'll help nudge some of us into the career. I'd also appreciate the experience of helping out with a professional project. :)

CosMind, how does the Torque Game Builder fare? I haven't tried it yet. Unfortunately, Torque X Builder isn't available for MacOSX. I wasn't able to dedicate much time to game development lately (including Eo participation), due to academic duties.
