First and foremost, a big welcome to all the new faces in EO who I haven't had the chance to welcome into the fold yet. It's great to see that more talent in the GM community is being recognized here, and it's nice to have more friends among the crowd here.
I don't know what it is about me lately, but I seem to have become very disorganized in my projects. I've got about 3-4 GM projects going right now, and because of this, none of them really seem to be going anywhere. The trouble is, I keep getting struck by these ideas that sound great, work a few days on them, and then wind up in a place where I just don't feel like continuing. Considering I also have a more high profile project currently resting in limbo (Falcon Squad), and other real-life projects (still haven't finished those three paintings for my ever-patient friend). I really want to finish these things, but finding the drive to do them has been hard lately. Such is the life of an artist, I guess.
I suppose my inability to get much done with my work has also been due to my Xbox, which I just got back about a month ago, after turning it in for repairs a month before. It seems there have been a lot of good games being released lately too! I actually just finished Bioshock this weekend, and I can honestly say that it was one of the best single player games I've played in a long time; great story, great atmosphere, and just long enough. I highly recommend it, but watch out for the Securom rootkit thing if you're planning on playing it on PC.
And of course, I've been spending a lot of time with my girlfriend (her birthday was in August too!), and going around and taking care of random odds and ends... had to have my car serviced, went to the California State Fair, switched cell phone carriers. The list goes on.
Anyway, I should get back to work, but I just thought it'd be nice to check in with everyone, get a new blog out there, and say 'hi' to the EO newcomers. I'll be trying to focus a bit more on my GM stuff, so maybe we'll actually see some more stuff coming from Fred in the near future... ;)
Until next time!

Hi. I hope you get over your... Uhm... Artist block (?). I think it's something that happens to everyone every now and then. Taking a break usually makes you start craving for it. Using the time you'd spend on creating to get into other people's creations instead can also be a good thing. Good paintings / games / music / whatever can be very inspiring, and finding a few rotten ones can make you feel superior and get motivation that way. I'm sure you'll get yourself back into the groove somehow.

Yeah. I get the occasional period where I'd like to work on my games, but just don't feel in the mood. Maybe it's thanks to the way I've murdered my sleep cycle over the summer. =P
Oh, and I've been playing BioShock as well, but for PC. Haven't gotten too far in as of yet, but what I've seen so far has been quite impressive. My only complaint is that the gunplay just feels... wrong. Well, that and the way you don't seem to be able to choose what you want to loot from containers, it's all or nothing.

Danke for the welcome.
My computer is far too crappy to run something like Bioshock (or anything else released in the past two years), but I've read about the game and it sounds quite intriguing. I enjoy games that offer a lot of possibilities - in real life, almost no problem has only one solution. That's why I really enjoyed the Thief series. (My computer won't run those either, but for different reasons.)
