I've been working on a game called Avaus off and on for quite a while now, and I think I'll be able to finish it some time this year. It has 131 rooms so far, and it looks like this:

At first look, I failed to see the little man in the 2nd picture. I like the pixel-style a lot, and the sheer simple-clean outlined look to the sprites.

Another dreamlike explo-navigation adventure, right? Looks schweet.

That second image kinda reminds me of Blaster Master. I hope to see this one get completed, as it's been awhile since your last game.
I notice the images are 800x480. This some type of widescreen res or were these purposely cut to that dimension?

Am I the only one who thinks that some of the sprites are glaringly... "disconnected in style"? I mean, if the ship has no shadows, why does the pipe look almost 3D?
Seems very interesting regardless though. ;)

These images are just full screen captures cropped for no good reason.
reminds me of Blaster Master.
This game is definitely inspired in part by Blaster Master.

A lot of the graphics aren't finalized. Although I sometimes like incongruous visuals in independent games, I'll probably want to weed them out in the end, and I'll appreciate this type of feedback.

With all those brown blocks, and what looks like brown dust, seems to me that you can destroy those blocks to dig your way through. It looks like it could be fun nevertheless. :)

We're going to be able to fly through that tube, right?
Hmm, the ship looks too bright in that dark place. It'd be better if it was like, shaded more or something when it was underground. Maybe it fits with everything else, I dunno.
I can really comment on the art too much. Haven't really *seen* much of it.
Keep up the good work, etc. :-)

Looks alright. Bit sparse and simple for my tastes but that's your style (and to some extent lupi's too which is why I guess you two have that vellela project thing and where the hell is that anyways) and it looks fine.
Those brown blocks sure do remind me of the tiles my nan used to have in her kitchen in the 80's. I used to sit in the doorway of the backdoor and 'dig' up the edges of those tiles. She wasn't pleased.
