Art Saves Lives Matt Thorson // 04:00
The metaphorical Battle of Agincourt that is my life at this exact moment is nearly complete, though I cannot discern the victor from my current position on the field, much like Harry himself in Branagh's adaptation.  I am quite interested as to my metaphorically equivalent nationality and am fairly nervous, as it doesn't quite feel like I've wielded such an advantage as the longbow, but I've done my best to stay on track and one who appears to be my own version of (the relentless metaphor stretches on!) Princess Kate will arrive soon at my side.

All the while on a parallel, altogether separate plane (luckily containing much fewer obscure historical/Shakespeare references), on marches my many hobbies.  Here, I'll tell you about the only one you likely care to hear about (given the location of this blog): my game development.

Firstly, some bad news.  Untitled is not as near to completion as I had hoped it would be at this time.  There is still lots to do, so expect it anytime but soon.

Secondly, some good news.  Another platformer of mine is nearing completion, and I feel that if you have enjoyed my previous works it will be right up your alley.  It will be done (surprise surprise, even to me) before Untitled.  Most likely sometime in February or March.

Both projects will remain invisible at least until Game Maker version 7.0 is released. (Invisible in the sense that oxygen is invisible - it does exist and we know this and perhaps people have written many personal and scientific accounts of it but we really can't see it - which is just a very long way of saying I might write up a preview of the new game before it is officially "visible", so I guess invisible in the sense that you can't literally see it is a much easier way to explain the concept.)

Too many allusions, but it's your life that's saved, I presume. Or not.

Haha.  Yes, I dislike actually talking about my personal life, but making vague allusions is my way of getting it out there.

If anyone makes sense of that first paragraph they'll be glad to know that I was never in danger of death, or anything so serious, but rather the constant battle of love is the topic.

I dislike Shakespeare.  :D

I kind of figured Untitled would be pushed back, a new platformer should be fun though.  Thanks for keeping us updated.

I like Shakespeare. >:(

Nice blog, very clever. That's sad to hear about Untitled, though. I was all psyched for Q1 2007. Stop giving release dates if you can't stick by them. :(
