Sector 9 is the last unconquered region of space. It contains millions of planets, rich with minerals  essential to the continuation of the human race. Most planets are populated with vicious life forms - these we can handle.

However, the planets are also infested with diseases that are wiping our workers out. All efforts to fight these diseases have failed... But there is a hope. A new anti-virus has been developed. A microscopic creature that resides in the bloodstream, annihilating all disease. The tests must be completed - this anti-virus is essential to the very survival of the human race.
