As you can see, the site has had a massive revamp. The old site had a few problems and became rather messy to manage. The new site you see before you is the result of a few months of work and grafting. A new super streamlined appearance, plus a much more efficient way of working, Site V2.0 is far more comfortable to browse. While we're still quite not there yet (lots of new content to be added), I hope you enjoy the new look, plus a few new features. You'll see that you can now reply to blog entries by our members - so get discussing!

Eo would like to give a warm welcome to Deadheat, FredFredrickson, CoolMoose, J-Factor, Schu and Ds to the community. Their exceptional talent had got them noticed by the community, and now they have a chance to integrate their skills with the community to make some classy games for you to play!

Shawn "Shawn64" Noel, a former member of Eo, has passed away this week, by sadly taking his own life. A constant inspiration to many people in the Game Maker Community with his skill in creating quality games, he will be sorely missed by many.

Pug Fugly's excellent remake (which will soon appear on this site), Horace and the Spiders has won the Retro Remakes Competition 2005. A smashing little game full of charm and wonderful gameplay, this is a gem you'll want to download immediately.

This is the second time (and incidentally, second year in a row) one of our Eonians have won the competition by using GM. Previously, BitPimp won the 2004 competition with Legend of Shadow. Both games were up with some very tough competition, but in the end prevailed on just sheer quality, and concentrating on something quite a few people forget: gameplay.

If I were you, and haven't done so already, I'd go and download both these games right now!
