Where's my honorary account, EO...

What do you think about this? Tim W. is a huge force for good in the independent gaming world. The only possible issue I'd see with having him as a member here is if something became a news story that shouldn't be yet. :) But I'll bet he'd be trustworthy about that.

Also, good interview. Isn't it strange to get sort of famous from something as unsocial as sitting at a computer making games?

Everyone stays away from you at school because they think you're some crazy nerd, though.

We should get Tim an account. Of course he'll be trustworthy  :)

does he even do any game development?
everyone else that gets brought into eo has to submit samples and get "reviewed and approved" - why's this dude any different?

go messhof.
and i always envisioned you as a 2-foot-tall cyber elf ninja!
man, was i wrong...

He used to make games long ago I believe he told me once (though I could be mistaken), but doesn't make them anymore.

I don't think he'll report news unless given permission or it's on a public blog or something. He has talent in games journalism and playtesting, so that might count for the talent thing. He's also probably the best playtester I've ever had, he playtested a lot of my games and Orchard's games and gave invaluable feedback.

That was entertaining.

I second Rinku's mention of Tim's abillities as a playtester. He's provided a lot of useful feedback and a few interesting ideas when I've showed him my games during development.

I can't see him being anything but a positive influence, so why not invite him?

Also, nice interview. I enjoyed reading it, and I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one who resurrects old game ideas whenever I get a chance to breathe some new life into them. Looking forward to 2.0 and whatever you have in store for us  :-*

Really nice interview, an interesting read. By the way, I loved the Flywrench soundtrack (and the Punishment 2 one); it sounds a little bit like a not-very-good, pseudomusical experiment I did a couple of years ago.

Oh, and
I can't see him being anything but a positive influence, so why not invite him?
Also, he'd notice our stuff even more than he already does, although I don't think that's really a problem (in the past few months, has any EO member released something and not had it featured?).

Oh, and that thing about rewiring toy instruments and building pedals and whatnot... awesome. Just awesome.
