You two might want to seek counseling.  I hear it can help mend broken relationships.  I'm not sure how open Yourself would be to the idea, though. :D

You're right, and I guess I'm oh-so-slowly getting over it. It's a hard thing to do though, part of me hopes that we'll go back to being close friends- part of me wants to believe that will happen. Unfortunately, there's a lot of bigoted and unaccepting people out there and he's one of them. One of those sort of people that hates gays and transgendered people and so on. Meh. I'm getting worked up over nothing.

I hope you get things sorted edenb. I know how it feels, I've been through this too many times. The best thing you can do is kill the laziness that comes with the feeling of rejection, if I can call it that, and change your mind. When I don't feel well, I go to the gym, take walks and play various sports. It helps me, though those are only examples of what I like to do to "discharge"; your activities may be well different. All hopes you get well soon.
